About the Role
BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) is a world-class business, built on the strengths of BHP Billiton and Mitsubishi. BMA is part of the world's largest diversified resources company managing various mines and a port in Central Queensland. Opportunities are currently available within the Coal Production team at our Goonyella Riverside Mine for Multi-skilled Operators on a Lifestyle Roster.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, health, the community and the environment.
- Working cooperatively within a team to achieve safe production targets;
- Maintain a high-level working knowledge of safety processes.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Unrestricted ‘C’ Class Driver’s licence
- Machine operating experience on the following, Large Excavators (400t +), Haul Trucks Cat 785 or Komatsu 830E, Water Trucks, 16M/18M/24/24M Graders, D10 / D11 Dozer Skills, WA1200 Komatsu Loaders
- Demonstrated ability to effectively integrate into new teams and focus on teamwork
- Demonstrated commitment to ensuring a safe and environmentally healthy workplace including willingness to maintain high standards of safety, equipment serviceability, housekeeping and compliance with site procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A sound technical knowledge and experience in equipment operation
- Continuous improvement mindset and aptitude to learn and acquire new digital and technological skills
- Willingness to proactively contribute ideas to solve problems and improve existing processes and tools
