Nickel West Kwinana
Located 30 kilometres south of the Perth, the Nickel West Kwinana produces nickel briquettes and nickel powder. While many employees live in Perth, Fremantle and Mandurah, the Kwinana region is a thriving coastal township with three public beaches, excellent schools, modern shopping facilities. As part of our commitment to health and safety Nickel West Kwinana is a smoke free operation.
We are investing in a Nickel Sulphate plant to be built at our Kwinana refinery south of Perth. We believe there are significant competitive advantages for Nickel West to move downstream into the battery chemical business.

As an Electrical Leading Hand in the fixed plant maintenance team at Kwinana, you’ll be provided with the tools to work within a zero harm safety culture. With our support, you’ll also ensure targeted plant and equipment availability.
You will report to the Electrical / Instrumentation Supervisor and on a daily basis your core duties will include:
- Assist Supervisor to delegate work to the team
- Provide technical advice and support to fellow Maintenance team members
- Identify correct parts and equipment for all planned and unplanned work
- Continuously review scheduled jobs to identify opportunities for improvement
- Avoid rework and the unnecessary use of parts and services (cost management)
- Manage customer expectations
- Actively participate in safety initiatives and systems to ensure all work is carried out safely
About You
Required skills and experience:
- Electrical Trade Qualification
- WA Electrical Licence
- Previous experience in a similar position in the mining industry
- Cert IV in Instrumentation
- Valid WA Drivers Licence
- High Risk Tickets EWP, Forklift (desirable)
- EEHA Cert (desirable)
- Supervised Gas Fitter (desirable)
- Electrical In-House Nominee (desirable)
