About the Role
Our Global BHP Technology function is undergoing an exciting transformation journey and moving towards more modern ways of working. Be part of a global DevOps team that partner with our Operations, Digital Factories, Centers of Excellence & Functions to drive improvement and innovation in safety, culture, productivity, and social value through the application of world-class technology. As part of the Enterprise & Global Corporate Functions Technology team, you will report directly to the Product Manager for Non-ERP Platforms, and lead the strategy, roadmaps, lifecycle management and technical standards pertaining to BHP’s Global Non-ERP Application Platforms. This role is based in Perth or Brisbane.
In this role, your key accountabilities will include:
- Providing expertise to guide the design of solutions utilising or extending BHP’s Global Non-ERP Application Platforms inclusive of Documentum, Microsoft SharePoint and Power Apps, Nintex Workflow Cloud and K2
- Shaping and delivering technical roadmaps to improve and enhance the value and usability of platform services, through self-service practices and frameworks
- Develop and maintain Platform Strategies and provide advocacy and guidance to the wider business looking to utilise platform services
- Assists with Application Portfolio Simplification
- Engage with stakeholders in the key business areas to understand business roadmap and impact on platforms
- Ensuring that all architectural deliverables align to strategic objectives; are produced to a high quality; and are consistent with existing standards, policies and strategies
About You
- You enjoy keeping up to date with the latest happenings in the market in regard to low-code/no-code application platforms and bring your expertise in designing fit-for-purpose business solutions to the table to design, review and guide world-class solutions
- Your analytical and systems thinking approach will be well refined, where you can understand and communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences across all levels of the organisation.
- Your ability to build and maintain key, trusted relationships will be critical to your success
- You possess a highly developed skill set for the development of Solution Architecture artefacts and outcomes with recent experience delivering on Global application projects
- You will have exceptional planning skills with a focus on attention to detail, be action oriented and results driven. Your excellent communication and collaboration skills make you adept at bringing stakeholders along the journey of the what and the how in relation to Platform Strategies
- Knowledge of MS Azure and AWS Cloud Services
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding
- Demonstrates an ability to identify key / critical working relationships within and across teams and promote the effective development of these relationships.
Desirable Skills
- Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related (STEM) discipline is desirable.
- Knowledge & practical experience in the area of Agile, DevOps methodologies and practices
- Ability to lead change within BHP and partner ecosystem.
