About the Role
The Fixed Plant West Inflow team are accountable for delivering ore in a safe and timely manner to support the WAIO supply chain. Ore from the Inflow Plants (OHP2 and OHP3) are stacked onto the Coarse Ore Stockpile (COS).
Reporting to the Inflow Processing Execution Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe operation and running of the Inflow Plants (OHP2 and OHP3) in accordance to the production plan.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Execute the production activities according to the Production Plan
- Adhere to defined standard procedures and apply safe work practices;
- Conduct routine inspections with strong attention to detail; identifying required maintenance
- Liaise with other teams to coordinate activities, including fitters, electricians and remote operation controllers.
- Document all issues requiring follow up and handover as necessary to the next shift.
- Operation of mobile equipment to remove waste product and to remove blockages in the process flow
About You
This is an exciting opportunity for a safety-focused individual ideally with a background in processing and mine production environment.
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
- Rockbreaker operations experience – highly desirable
- Bobcat, loader and excavator experience preferred
- Strong practical experience (minimum 2 years) in a Process Technician role.
- Previous experience in resources industry
Location
With this role you will be based residentially in Newman. You will be working across Newman Operations West. Newman Operations West is more than five kilometres long and nearly 1.5 kilometres wide, making it the biggest single-pit open-cut iron ore mine in the world. Newman Operations East is made up of several deposits and contributes to the overall ore production of the Newman Joint Venture hub.
