About the Role
The Specialist Site Improvement, reports to the Manager Site Improvement, and will be responsible for the successful execution of improvement projects for BMA’s Saraji Mine. You will be part of a high performing team, responsible for leading change and improvement which materially shifts the dial on site performance.
The Specialist Site Improvement will identify and execute projects designed to unlock value and reduce waste through sustainable embedment of continuous improvement across all levels of the team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Working with stakeholders to identify, frame, schedule and manage key improvement projects, spanning across all of Saraji in safety, culture, cost & productivity.
- Lead continues improvement meetings with stakeholders that help to manage and deliver initiatives against the site’s annual priorities.
- Analyse, report and present on the progress of improvement projects to internal senior stakeholders.
- Facilitate problem-solving sessions to identify the root cause of problems, collaboratively problem-solve and explore opportunities to implement Standardised Work and BHP Operating System (BOS) practices and tools.
- Training & coaching in BHP Continuous Improvement processes and systems.
About You
The behavioural qualities you exhibit in this role will be critical to set the expectation to all employees at the site to ensure the timely delivery of improvement projects. Therefore, you must be passionate and have high energy levels, to ensure that together we are improving every day.
You will possess the following:
- The ability to work autonomously & to be able to grasp new skills.
- Leading or implementing a process improvement or change management project, including facilitating problem-solving sessions
- Critically observing, coaching and providing feedback to peers and leadership on improved ways of working.
- Influencing and working through teams to collaboratively problem solve.
- Applying systems thinking and analytics to drive decisions and improvements.
- Tertiary qualification in one of the following disciplines: Engineering, Operations Research, Business, Science, Finance, Commerce or similar.
Location
In this full-time permanent position, you will be at our Saraji mine either on residential at Dysart or travel arrangement. You will be working on Monday – Friday roster.
While on the travel arrangement, FIFO option can be discussed with potential talent.
