About the role
As part of the Leinster Underground Mining team, Truck Operators operate our underground diesel trucks moving both ore and waste with a foremost focus on safety and productivity. A focus for our employees’ development is on multi–skilling so that team members work as one team and support each other in the work areas underground as required. This includes operating other mining equipment, manual handling duties, and transporting materials into the mine.
Truck Operators are required to operate vehicles to best practice methods and ensure damage to tyres, gearboxes and the equipment in general is minimised. Whilst operating trucks is the primary role, the successful candidate will also be trained and required to perform other tasks such as; Nipper, Mine Utility or operating other underground equipment as part of their development.

About You
- C class Driver’s Licence essential
- Experience operating the Epiroc MT65 underground truck
- Experience in a mining operations environment is highly desirable;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision and engage in team operations
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in stressful environments
- The ability to work well within a team to achieve outcomes
- Strong orientation to safe work practices – High safety focus
This role offers a great opportunity to maintain a work life balance with FIFO ex Perth, 7/7 roster (including nightshift).
