Nickel West is a fully integrated mine-to-market business. Our culture is rich with technical know-how, highly efficient and focused on innovation. The business employs over 2500 people from five operations across Western Australia comprising of nickel underground and open-cut mines, concentrators, a smelter and a refinery. About the Role
We have a unique opportunity to join Nickel West, reporting to the Leinster Town Superintendent. Working at the Leinster Medical Centre, this crucial role is responsible for supporting the health and wellbeing of the Leinster community. The Leinster Medical Centre is a private practise, servicing a remote community and requires an experienced and confident sole practitioner.
This position is offered either residentially or FIFO from Perth on a 4/3 or 5/3/4/2 roster. You will be required to be on-call for the duration of rostered time on site. Flexible working options will be considered.
About You
You will be an experienced sole practitioner, confident in performing all physical interventions under the guidance of a remote Royal Flying Doctors Service (RFDS) doctor.
As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Registered Nurse qualification with current AHPRA practising certificate
- WA Police Clearance
- WA Working with Children check
- Hold or working towards experience utilizing the Australian Triage Scoring system
- Experience and skill with venepuncture and cannulation, both adult and paediatric
- Experience and skill with resuscitation and trauma scenarios.
- Hold or be working towards Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification on an ongoing basis
- ECG skills and interpretation (beneficial)
- Confident with Email, Word and Excel
- Capable at proactively managing stock and ordering
- Vaccinator’s Certificate
- Strong interpersonal skills
Location
Leinster is located in the northern region of the Goldfields. The Leinster Village and Township offer a unique lifestyle with all the modern conveniences – an Olympic size swimming pool, health, and fitness center, race-course, and even an 18 hole golf course. Employees commute to and from Perth on a fly-in / fly-out roster or have the option to live residentially in Leinster.
