About the Role
We have an exciting new opportunity, responsible for supporting continuous improvement across the OD HSE Team. You will be responsible for maximising the effectiveness of the HSE Team through designing systems, processes and routines, facilitating interactions and supporting the organisation.
Reporting to Principal HSE, this position will be based in Adelaide / Roxby Downs on a 5/2 roster.
Flexible working options will be considered.
In this position, you will be required to:
- Identify, implement and evaluate the success of continuous improvement activities/initiatives to improve the safety, effectiveness and efficiency of BHP systems and processes (including the application of the BHP Operating System (BOS) within the HSE Function).
- Support improvement in and execution of the HSE Team Operating Discipline, including cost management and strategic planning processes.
- Ensure the governance, maintenance and improvement of some HSE related Data Systems at Olympic Dam
- Apply an understanding of the business context, BHP operating model and ways of working to enhance decision-making, productivity and value chain performance.
- Support and maintain processes and systems to support Assurance activities (internal and external) for Olympic Dam
- Support the HSE Team to facilitate and influence an improvement in safety, sustainability, productivity and diversity for the HSE Team
- Support effective administration processes within the OD HSE Team
- Identify engage and manage a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will have experience in facilitating valuable customer relationships, effective influencing and exemplary communication skills. You will demonstrate commitment to excellence and to BHP’s charter.
You may also have:
- The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing demands and priorities
- Tertiary qualification in a related Discipline
- Familiarity with the BHP Operating Model (desirable)
- Strong Project Management skills
- The ability to articulate direction, plan and build alignment
- Capability to promote and lead change initiatives at all levels
- Experience in facilitating effective customer relationships, effective influencing and exemplary communication skills
