About the Role


Reporting to the Superintendent Operations Planning, as a Specialist Mine Planning Engineer you will be engaged in providing designs, scheduling and execution direction around the 1 week to 2 year time frame to our Broadmeadow Operation.

Use your already solid mine planning skills and experience in this busy and challenging short-term mine planning role to develop effective working relationships with the operational teams, in order to ensure the efficient execution of your plans and schedules.

This is a great opportunity to hone your mine planning skills as you gain exposure to a variety of planning processes. Based at Broadmeadow Mine, this is a busy role within a small, friendly team with access to a supportive, inclusive and results-oriented leadership team.

This role is based at Broadmeadow Mine. We are open to discussing flexible working opportunities.

In this role you will:

  • Use our safety tools and principles to develop mine designs and plans that create a safe working environment;
  • Facilitate Short Range Forecast and Authority To Mine processes;
  • Liaise with off-site planning functions;
  • Identify and implement Mine Planning improvement initiatives.

About You


As the successful candidate, you will have a tertiary education in Mining Engineering and demonstrated experience in a mine design and/or scheduling role.

A strong working knowledge of CAD and Microsoft Office software packages are essential. Experience with Deswik and VentSim will be highly regarded.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must, allowing you to build relationships across departments and to communicate with disciplines at all levels. You will be capable of problem solving and working independently.
