About the Role

The Coal Priority Support Service (PSS) team are responsible for frontline Level 1 support of BHP’s production systems, infrastructure and associated technology. Our team primarily supports the BHP Integrated Remote Operations Centre (IROC) and site-based technology solutions via a centralised help desk located in our Brisbane office. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for initial assessment and record creation of production system faults and ensuring that this information is communicated to the correct resolver teams and the relevant stakeholders.

This position will work on our Lifestyle Roster, working with a shift partner on a pattern of days and nights, with a block of days off at the end of each swing. Employees on this roster enjoy two full weekends off out of four and will align to the following shift rotation: 4 Days on, 5 Days off, 5 Nights on, 4 Nights off. Shifts are 12.5 hours including handover, and you will benefit from additional shift allowances, as part of your remuneration package.

Reporting to the Supervisor OT Operations, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing in person and remote level 1 support for BHP’s Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) production systems from the 24x7 Integrated Remote Operations Centre (IROC)
  • Provide first point of contact support and follow up communications for production system faults in the OT and IT environment
  • Proactive monitoring and event management to ensure consistent delivery of critical production systems.
  • Engaging with IROC dispatch and control, Level 2 and Level 3 support teams, vendors and other operational personnel to resolve production system faults
  • Rapidly provide break-fix solutions to restore production system availability following outages
  • Engaging key stakeholders during events, incidents, and changes
  • Safe execution of planned maintenance activities
  • Scoping and execution of minor improvement works
