About the Role

This position is based at Olympic Dam, operating on a 7 day / 7 night rotating 12 hour roster pattern arrangement, with residential, DIDO or FIFO options available.

Reporting to the Superintendent Production Execution Concentrator, we currently have an opportunity available for an inclusive and supportive leader to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for the Concentrator performance which will include providing a safe working environment, achieving department targets and the leadership and coordination of daily work activities.

In this role you will:

  • Be first and foremost focused on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing and coaching your team
  • Identify, build and develop team capability through ongoing and regular coaching and development
  • Integrate with Maintenance counterparts to ensure effective, pro-actively planned maintenance to minimise unplanned downtime
  • Review work practices to ensure best practice
  • Actively manage employee performance
  • Lead frontline improvement within the Concentrator area
  • Identify, build and develop team capability through ongoing and regular coaching and development
  • Accountable to meet production targets across all areas at the Concentrator

About You

Our successful candidate will:

  • Demonstrate the confidence to lead by example, hold yourself and others accountable and coach others in ‘Safety Leadership’
  • Ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels and disciplines
  • Demonstrated experience providing inspirational leadership, mentoring and coaching of a team
  • Previous experience with BHP processes and systems is favorable
  • Have the ability to communicate well with all stakeholders
  • Have previous and proven experience as a people leader
