About the Role
In this role you will be reporting to the Operations Services (OS) Production Manager and responsible for providing support and guidance on production and improvement opportunities utilising standardised work in our operations. Using your solid mine planning skills and operational experience you will monitor production performance and identify and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with OS Production Engineers and develop effective working relationships with the site operational and planning teams to ensure the efficient execution of short-term plans and schedules in an autonomous haulage environment.
The roster will be 4/3 with the option of DIDO/FIFO.
Your key deliverables include, but are not limited to:

Monitor and review the Production team's performance, establishing benchmarks, defining trends, identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives supporting business priorities;

Apply problem-solving techniques and root-cause analysis to enable continuous improvement by eliminating waste, hazards and variability;

Analysing and reporting on daily, weekly and monthly performance;

Diagnose, plan, develop and deliver Standardised Work packages for our Production operations. Monitor, report and perform lessons learnt post implementation;

Foster positive & productive working relationships and team culture

Lead and support continuous improvement opportunities
Experience with business improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, BOS or Lean Manufacturing, and use of data management and analysis tools would be highly beneficial.
About You
We are looking for an experienced candidate that has proven resource industry and site-based experience and leadership potential. You will be innovative with a bias to action, effectively influence others and have a strong ability to lead change.
Experience with business improvement methodologies such as BOS, Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing, and use of data management and analysis tools such as Spotfire or Corvus, would be highly beneficial. Relevant tertiary qualifications would be highly valued.
To be successful you will demonstrate the following:

Ability to engage with all levels of the business from frontline employees to senior management;

Project Management and/or engineering experience is preferred, not essential

Effectively identifying ways to eliminate hazards, waste and variability

Proficient use of production systems, MS Office suite and mining software, including Vulcan, Deswick, Spry.
