We are actively seeking the talents of a Superintendent Work Management Planning to join the NickelWest Team based in Kalgoorlie.
Reporting to the Manager, Maintenance, this role will manage a team of planners responsible for the short and long term work management plans for the mine.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Managing a small team
- Encouraging and influencing change initiatives and process improvements
- Developing and coaching teams on work management and business processes
- Collaborating with other leaders across the business to achieve shared goals
- Understanding the risk profile of the forward log and driving action where necessary
- Role modelling change to ensure successful delivery and alignment with strategy
About You
To be successful in this role you will be able to leverage your expertise in either maintenance or work management. You are incredibly results focused with a demonstrated track record driving successful business outcomes.
In addition, we are ideally looking for the following skills and experience:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to collaborate and build positive business partnerships
- The ability to influence and drive change in a complex business environment
- Previous Leadership experience and understanding of SAP is highly desirable
Location
Kalgoorlie is the largest inland city in Western Australia and due to its central location is positioned at the heart of the Goldfields as a vibrant mining town and a major gateway to the Eastern States. Although fairly isolated, the City of Kalgoorlie/Boulder offers modern shopping facilities, a huge variety of sports, and schooling for all ages up to high school. There are contemporary housing options for all budgets, sporting clubs and leisure complexes of all descriptions.
The Kalgoorlie Nickel Smelter receives nickel concentrate from our mining operations in Leinster and Mt Keith as well as from our Third Party Feed concentrator in Kambalda. Nickel West Kalgoorlie incorporates a flash furnace smelter, converters and an acid plant which has the capacity to produce up to 110,000 tonnes per annum of nickel matte.
All Kalgoorlie roles are residential. Nickel West Kalgoorlie is a non-smoking operation.
