About the Role
As Dispatch Coordinator you will be responsible and accountable for the mine controllers' interaction with mine site operations in supporting the decision-making process of the Dispatch Fleet Management System in line with site KPI’s. You will also provide leadership and direction to the Mine Controllers to ensure that the business and mine plan objectives are met and consistently achieved, in line with the HSE policies.
This role has a family friendly roster of 5:3:4:2 or 4:3:4:3.
Reporting to the Superintendent Mine Services you will demonstrate the following:
- Day to day supervision and coordination of all Mine Control personnel to minimise disruption to the site, whilst maximising productivity, efficiency, and safety
- Manage and monitor the training of the team, ensuring training plans are implemented appropriately and in a timely manner
- Provide consistent instructions in mining procedures/equipment and the operation of the fleet management system
- Provide a communication link between production, maintenance, planning and the operation of employees to minimise production and maintenance delays
- Ensure compliance to safety standards and procedures at all times
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
- Previous mine control experience, working with fleet management systems
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operations in an open cut mining environment
- Ability to make effective, intuitive decisions under pressure
- Knowledge of mine workplace safety requirements and procedures
- Strong computer literacy skills
- Excellent organisational skills and strong written and verbal communication skills

Nickel West Mt Keith
Nickel West Mt Keith is located 460 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in the Northern Goldfields. Nickel West Mt Keith is a surface mining operation with an open pit and concentrator plant. The operation is surrounded by pastoral stations, with the nearest townships being Leinster and Wiluna. There’s plenty to keep you entertained in the Mt Keith Village. Take the heat off the day and head to the pool – or join in a game of footy. BBQ dinners are regularly held, and other social activities include movie nights. Employees commute to and from Perth on a fly in / fly out roster.
