The BHP Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) Integrated Remote Operations Centre (IROC) is a state-of-the-art control operations facility encompassing our coal asset operations located across Central Queensland. This world-class control centre makes a significant contribution to ensuring our Coal operations continue to improve performance in a sustainable way by coordinating the near-term scheduling, planning, and controlling of our coal assets from the Brisbane CBD.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your understanding rail and shipping operations within the BHP coal supply chain. This world-class control center coordinates the near-term scheduling, planning, and controlling of our east coast mining operations from a central location delivering performance improvements across our coal value chain. It’s an exciting time to be part of the team as we work to integrate new and emerging technologies to drive the next phase of supply chain performance.
In this role, you'll engage with internal and external stakeholders to deliver week 0 logistics plan for two export terminal ensuring alignment of production, rail and shipping schedules.
In this full-time permanent position, you will be based at our Brisbane corporate office on an 8/6 roster.
You will work in an environment which is dynamic and striving to continuously improve performance, and with this, you will be involved in continuous improvement projects to help us become even better!
In this role you will:
- Co-ordinates and maintains the Week 0 Shipping Plan with a focus on delivering volume and product quality through third party ports.
- Proactively engage with internal and external stakeholders to identify and manage variation in product shortfalls, product quality and supply chain capacity constraints.
- Assists in the management of rail and port service providers to ensure alignment with contractual requirements, capacity forecasts, and the coal supply chain plan.
- Engage with marketing and external stakeholders to ensure shipping processes are met.
- Identify improvement opportunities across the supply chain.
