About the Role
We are currently seeking expressions of interest for the role of Production Supervisor working on a Lifestyle dayshift & nightshift roster. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and enjoy working in an inclusive team environment within Port Production. Our Production Supervisors are part of a multi-functional and diverse team in Production execution supporting BHP Port Operations to safely and efficiently achieve departmental and BHP WAIO business objectives.
In this role you will:
- Have an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development
- Contribute to the achievement of production goals through the operation of fixed & mobile plant equipment, such as ship loaders, reclaimers, stackers and sample stations (Execution) or;
- Build relationships across functions to support production and contribute to a positive working environment
- Conduct safety critical plant inspections to a high level
- Develop quality, task-based risk assessments
- Participate in field leadership activities
- Processes – Proactive Chute Cleaning, Standardised Work
- Manage workloads and allocate duties across the production team to deliver the plan and ensure all development targets are achieved;
- Assist in managing the day-to-day control and operation of car dumpers, ship loaders, reclaimers, screening, sampling and vessel mooring activities
About You
- A proven track record of safe work practices in a high risk environment
- Proven track record of hazard identification and resolution
- A motivated problem solver who is dedicated to continuously improving their work environment
- An energetic and enthusiastic approach to work, with a drive to develop and learn
- Demonstrated experience contributing to a diverse team environment
- Sound time management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong history of field leadership participation
- Previous experience in leadership roles would be advantageous
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a Production / Process environment
- Previous experience in leadership roles would be advantageous
