About the Role
To support growth and development within the industry, BHP is offering Traineeships across our BMA Operations. This program provides motivated and passionate individuals the opportunity to learn new skills whilst experiencing life on site. Our Trainees will be equipped with the resources and support needed to establish a fulfilling career within Mining.
In undertaking a traineeship you work as part of a crew in mining operations teams, with on the job industry training and support, whilst completing a nationally recognised qualification.

- CHPP (Coal Handling Preparation Plant)

- Production Operators (Haul Truck Trainee)

About You

To be successful in our Traineeship you will have:
- An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility, and sustainable development.
- A strong desire to learn and develop a range of new skills
- Motivation to achieve individual and team goals and objectives
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team alongside a range of diverse individuals.
- Be available to work on a rotational roster that includes night shift
- Live locally to the mine site which you are employed at, or be prepared to relocate at your own cost
About Our Process

As part of the recruitment process, there are a number of checks which may be conducted to demonstrate applicants suitability for a role including police / criminal background checks, medical, drug and alcohol testing, due diligence checks, right to work checks, and/or reference checks.
Please note as part of this recruitment process the successful applicant will need to conduct a Queensland legislated coal mine workers’ health assessment.
From 1 April 2023, ResHealth will be mandatory for the completion of coal mine workers’ health assessments, allowing you to submit, monitor and review the progress of your health assessment in a secure online environment.
