Position Overview:

Based at Narangba and reporting to the Business Development Manager, this is a key position overseeing the estimating operations for the South East Queensland & other locations as required. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of the sales performance targets for the region, maximising profit and financial performance through the effective and efficient management of the estimating process and to develop and deliver value propositions which secures market share in profitable segments.

Key duties:

• Ensure customer feedback is being recorded, reviewed, actioned and closed off to the customer’s understanding endeavouring to achieve complete satisfaction and discuss with Management Team any areas that require additional review and/or assistance.
• Prepare and submit timely & accurate quotations. Actively engage key team members and personally participate in the tendering process for new contracts. Follow up and close out of all quotations.
• Work with key in-house contracting personnel to gain buy-in and benefit from their insights during the estimating process.
• Value add wherever possible to meet and/or exceed client expectations, improve profitability and improve market share.
• Develop and maintain long term, mutually beneficial relationships with key customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods.
• Understand competitors in region and have a detailed knowledge of their capability and value propositions.

What are we looking for:

• Experienced sales/account manager, Asphalt & Spray Seal is an advantage.
• Highly motivated individual.
• Construction industry experience preferred
• Highly developed understanding of sales tools, methodologies and business processes
• Demonstrated ability to handle competing deadlines appropriately and effectively
• Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with all people, and to lead and influence people
• Strong negotiation and business acumen
• Strong people and communication (written/verbal) skills
• Proficient Benchmark Estimating software skills
• Proficient Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills (or related Google applications)
• Personal drive and results-orientation.
