Make a real impact in Community Services Education

Are you an experienced Community Services professional, TAFE Teacher or VET Trainer & Assessor ready to inspire the next generation?

At Box Hill Institute, we are building a strong pipeline of passionate Casual Teachers / VET Trainers and Assessors to support delivery across our Community Services programs.

We're looking for dedicated teachers with experience in counselling, mental health peer work, mental health, community services, or family violence.

Within this role you will be creating a safe and supportive learning environment for all students whilst adapting teaching materials and delivery to maximise the opportunities for training and increase employability for our students.

Casual opportunities available. Salary range aligns to the current MEA: L1 - L3 $91.42 - $98.77 per hour (dependent on qualifications & experience).

What You'll Be Doing?

  • Deliver hands-on, industry-relevant training in classroom, simulated and blended environments
  • Support students with assessment completion and practical skill development
  • Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment for diverse student cohorts
  • Bring your real-world community services experience into the classroom
  • Ensure delivery meets VET compliance and quality standards
  • Support students to successfully transition into employment or further study

What You Bring?

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or higher teaching qualifications
  • Relevant qualifications aligned to your teaching discipline
  • Strong industry experience (e.g. community services, mental health or family violence)
