Looking for a dream TAE gig?
BHI requires a passionate and experienced TAE trainer and assessor to predominantly deliver the TAE40122 to our new trainers (‘teachers under supervision’).
You’ll be using a quality product that has already been created, formatted and validated: you just need to deliver and assess.
About the role:
- 8 fixed term contract (12 months) TAE trainer and assessor role
- Based at Box Hill campus: option to work from home 2 days per week.
- Hours of work: Mon – Thurs. Blended (mix of remote and on campus) classes delivered up to 2 nights per week, 6-9pm.
- Salary as per the MEA
Main duties:
- Training and assessing the TAE40122 to teachers under supervision (TUS) at BHI
- Ongoing support for TUS through tutorials, one on one support and class observations
- Training and assessing TAE skill sets to BHI trainers and assessors
- Creation and delivery of customised PD for BHI trainers and assessors
This role is fixed term until June 2024.
About You:
- Must hold the TAE40122 or TAE40116
- Must hold an AQF5 or higher qualification in Adult Education
- Must have experience in vocational training and assessing
- Experience in teaching the TAE (desirable)
- Passion for delivering engaging course material and lessons
- Experience in planning and researching for the preparation of programs and learning materials and use a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools that would ensure a successful training program
- Appreciation of administrative requirements required for the coordination of vocation education and training
- Knowledge and experience utilising student management systems for attendance tracking and results
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to provide support and advice to students and BHI employees of diverse cultures, backgrounds and abilities
