About the role:
Exciting and unique opportunity to join Box Hill Institute as our Transnational Deployment Teacher!
The Transnational Deployment Teacher provides high quality and innovative course materials and excellent teaching delivery to BHI Overseas Extended Campus students, to:
- support student success in Logistics and Business courses and thereby improve their employment and/or educational pathways
- ensure BHI compliance requirements are met.
The position is responsible for liaising with students, relevant industry groups, community services providers, overseas partners and employees of the BHI at all levels.
The Transnational Education department provides a wide range of teaching and learning programs in partnership with BHI Extended Campuses, predominantly in China. Teaching is delivered in English by experienced and qualified teachers, providing the opportunity for overseas students to complete a BHI qualification, with the benefit of experiencing Australian teaching models.
Teaching in the overseas extended campuses requires the appointed teacher to live away from Australia for 2 to 5 weeks at a time, the ability to cope with the isolation of being away from family, friends and colleagues is essential.
This opportunity is being offered on a short-term contract. Salary is in line with MEA agreement.
About You:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116), or TAE40110 with required TAE upgrade credentials, a qualification at diploma level or higher in Adult Education
- Vocational competencies at diploma level or higher
- Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided
- Current and relevant demonstrated experience in one or more disciplines to be able to teach Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Business Logistics or Business
- Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning
- Ability to design and deliver logical, succinct, up-to-date and engaging course materials and lessons
- Relevant professional development
- Understanding and commitment to travel overseas and live away from home for up to 5 weeks
You will need to provide or be willing to obtain a current National Police Records Check, a Working with Children Check, Passport, evidence of your entitlement to work in Australia, and certified copies of your qualifications.
