About the role:
Our Senior Copywriter looks after original copy for our ads, websites and social media. They make sure the content has SEO, as well as delivering compelling messaging to our readers.
They also provide cross-functional writing support for the Digital and Communications functions, who coordinate the day-to-day operations and writing support for external communications.
To make sure their copy is accurate and sells the right stuff, they also know how to source accurate information, identify gaps in our content and conduct research to help plug those gaps.
The Senior Copywriter will need to be able to collaborate with the broader Marketing team, providing advice as the resident SEO subject matter expert, as well as being driven enough to work almost independently. With one direct report, they are responsible for helping to nurture and grow their team member
The BHI Marketing team consists of four service teams: Digital, Campaigns, Events and Communications. The team plays an integral role in BHI’s student value chain by providing leadership in the development and delivery of holistic and distinctive marketing services and outcomes.
This is a permanent, full-time role with a salary of $86,530.00 per annum (PACCT 7), excluding superannuation.
About You:
- A degree in Marketing, Communications, or at least five years demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Significant experience working with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) in a copywriting role and/or developing digital communications content
- Experience in implementing and supporting social media campaigns
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, strong attention to detail and an ability to research, write, edit and produce communication for a variety of communication channels
- Ability to write using clear and concise language, communicating in a way that meets the purpose, channel and audience needs
- Strong relationship management skills and the ability to interact, influence and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders
- Proactive and self-starting, seizes opportunities and acts upon them whilst taking responsibility for own actions, time management skills.
