About the role:
An exciting opportunity to join Box Hill Institute as the Senior Systems Accountant within the Finance, Procurement and Payroll team.
In this role you will provide a range of financial systems administration guidance and support to ensure optimal operations of all the BHI’s Finance systems and effective implementation of systems improvements. The role involves the provision of high level customer service and support to finance system users through advice, training and development of relevant report and timely responses to enquiries.
The Senior Systems Accountant is an active participant and contributor towards the development of organisational plans including centre-level business operations, end of year, disaster recovery and system improvement projects.
The Senior Systems Accountant provides specialist and consultative advice and services to BHI that enable the achievement of the Strategic Plan, in alignment with a consistently excellent level of customer service experience for all internal and external clients of BHI.
This position is based at Box Hill but is expected to work in the CBD, Lilydale and across any campus as required.
About You:
- Relevant Degree and post graduate qualification and experience in Accounting, Commerce, Business or Computer Studies/IT, or extensive management and leadership experience, or an equivalent combination.
- Principal specialist in a recognised discipline or specialist area
- Demonstrated extensive experience in financial systems, including analysing and developing customised reports for clients and identifying emerging issues.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan, negotiate and prioritise a heavy workload whilst balancing competing and complex organisational needs, maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to influence and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
