About the role:
Expressions of Interest are now open for the Senior Administrator role located at the Yarra Ranges Tech School. This role is full time, ongoing.
The Senior Administrator plays a vital role in managing all practical aspects of school bookings for Tech School programs, including overseeing student transportation. This includes fostering and maintaining strong relationships between the Tech School and various stakeholders, especially secondary schools associated with the Yarra Ranges Tech School, through the development and implementation of effective systems and processes.
Additionally, this position involves collaborating with industrial partners to facilitate offsite and onsite programs, panels, and general activities. The Senior Administrator also supports the Learning Specialist Pedagogy and Director in identifying and securing development opportunities to promote the YRTS programs and services, including securing industry sponsorships and accessing government grants. Furthermore, they provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient management of schools, classes, and students, thereby facilitating seamless daily operations..
The Yarra Ranges Tech School situated at the Lilydale Lakeside campus was the first of ten technical schools to be established as part of the Victorian Government’s Technical Schools Initiative. The Tech School delivers scientific and high-tech educational self-learning discovery programs to students from 19 partner secondary schools. The Tech School provides learning programs that are linked to school curriculum, and expose students to the technology and discovery learning framework that will better equip them with knowledge of advanced technology, and provide essential employability skills to compete in a rapidly changing global economy.

About You:
- Current Box Hill Institute employee
- A relevant Diploma-level qualification or equivalent experience in Administrative operations with significant client-facing interactions and operations
- Undertaken or completed tertiary training in student support
- Demonstrated expertise in facilitating diverse administrative services, encompassing student administration, planning and monitoring, as well as financial administration
- Proficiency in drafting business plans, letters, and reports, coupled with effective communication skills across all organizational tiers
- Advanced proficiency in a spectrum of computer applications and financial systems, including Finance One, Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook. Demonstrated experience in comprehensive business reporting
- Proficient in managing timetabling and scheduling operations, involving the coordination of staff, facilities, equipment resources, and client bookings
- Demonstrated understanding of the range of programs provided by BHI Group, and awareness of prerequisites necessary to enter various programs
- Demonstrated expertise in streamlining processes for enhanced efficiency
