About the role:
An exciting opportunity to join Box Hill Institute within our Faculty of Health, Community and Life Sciences as the Course Coordinator Health Programs! This position is part time .4 FTE (2 days per week) and is fixed term until December 2025.
As the Coordinator, you will be managing teaching and business support employees along with programs to ensure high quality innovative digital course materials and excellent training and service delivery to students. Your role will also be responsible for ensuring educational program compliance and supporting innovation and efficient use of resources to better meet student and client needs.
This role will manage teacher work and performance plans as well as mentoring teaching staff to ensure a high standard of professional practice. You will be managing annual business plans and budgets, and communicate the strategic goals and direction of the organisation to teams allowing employees to connect the strategy to their position and work group.
Success in the position will result in a high performing and engaged team, student achievement and improved education and employment outcomes, quality education delivery and the development of opportunities to grow the organisation and its programs.
The Faculty of Health, Community and Life Sciences provides a wide range of teaching and learning programs at local, interstate and international campuses. The Faculty delivers nationally recognised training to over 1200 students in courses ranging from Certificates to Diplomas and post graduate programs. Disciplinary areas include nursing, health and community services, animal care and management, biosecurity, horticulture, conservation and land management.
About You:
- A relevant degree or approved AQF Level 6 or above qualification in Adult and Vocational Education.
- A vocational qualification relevant to the courses delivered in the Health disciplines.
- Highly developed educational leadership expertise plus extensive management and/or teaching skills
- Demonstrated experience managing and motivating a high performance team of teaching employees, managing performance, facilitating development and providing feedback and coaching improving productivity and performance
- Experience leading and managing teaching programs that comply with relevant quality standards with a strong understanding of competency based training and assessment
