About the role:
A new and exciting opportunity to join Box Hill Institute as our Administration Officer for the Hawthorn College of Sport Program. This opportunity is part time- 2 days per week until December 2026.
The Administrator is responsible for providing a broad range of complex administrative support and high level customer service and ensure the coordination of effective and efficient administration and operations.
The Administrator is a member of the Foundation Education College. This position is responsible for working professionally with employees at all levels across the Box Hill Institute and liaising with relevant external stakeholders, including clients, students, industry representatives and suppliers
The Foundation College is the Educational Delivery division, provides pre-accredited programs; foundation programs, such as learner support, English language studies, transition and work education; and senior secondary school programs such as VCE, VCAL. It administers the Vet Delivery in Secondary Schools program across BHI.
This position is part time until December 2026 and is based at our Nelson Road, Box Hill Campus. Salary is pro rata PACCT 4.3- $71,679 plus compulsory superannuation.
About You:
- Demonstrated experience in administration within educational delivery
- Experience in dealing confidently and courteously with people at all levels, and a commitment to providing a high level of customer care in an administrative role
- A high level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated experience in preparing high quality, accurate correspondence and reports to stakeholders
- Excellent organisational and planning skills including the capacity to set priorities and work unsupervised to rigid deadlines
- Ability to use all MS Office applications proficiently for a range of tasks including generating letters, reports and database management is essential
- Knowledge of information management systems including Student One, CELCAT and Finance One is highly advantageous, with willingness to increase knowledge and skill through professional development opportunities to become a high level user
- High level problem solving skills including the ability to exercise sound judgement and make recommendations when necessary
- Experience in working collaboratively as part of a team to achieve team goals, including excellent organisational skills, flexibility during peak periods, and ability to adapt to changing priorities is essential
