About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity to work at Box Hill Institute as our Teacher - Library. This is a part-time (0.4EFT), fixed-term to December 2025 opportunity based at our Nelson Campus. This position reports directly to the Coordinator Business, and sits within the Management area of the Faculty of Creative, Business and Technology.

What you'll do:

  • Provide high quality and innovative course materials and excellent teaching delivery to online Library students
  • Support student success in Diploma of Library and Information Services courses and thereby improve their employment and/or educational pathways
  • Ensure BHI compliance requirements are met, and quality education is delivered to students

About you:

  • Victorian Working with Children Check clearance
  • National Police Check clearance

Qualifications and experience:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE41110 with upgrade units or TAE40116)
  • A relevant degree or approved AQF Level 6 or above qualifications or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • A vocational qualification relevant to the courses delivered.
  • Experience working within the industry and/or related disciplines.
  • Ability to design and deliver logical, succinct, up-to-date and engaging course materials and lessons.
  • Proficiency in using learning management systems (i.e. Moodle) to create innovative and engaging learning experiences for students
  • Ability to develop a range of complex documents that comply with all relevant quality standards, including unit plans and assessment tools
