About the role:
We have exciting opportunities to work at Box Hill Institute as one of our Casual Early Childhood Educators. This is a casual opportunity based at our Lilydale Lakeside Children's Centre, within our Lilydale Campus (Jarlo Drive).
What you'll do:
- Work alongside a passionate team to provide innovative education and care programs in a long day setting with children aged 0-6 years
- Implement diverse educational programs; creating engaging and stimulating learning environments that complement the children's interests, relationships and opportunities.
- Ensure promotion of health and safety for all staff and children within a positive environment which is nurturing, safe and stimulating.
- Carry out regular ELC daily routines including meal time, rest periods, education programs including nature play and use of our fantastic outdoor facilities.
- Engage with families and children within the LLCC including administering relevant records to demonstrate children's participation to share with families.
- We encourage incorporation of your special interests into the children's education; e.g. physical education, music, cultural celebrations and healthy eating habits

- Victorian Working with Children Check clearance
- National Police Check clearance
Qualifications and experience:
- Cert III or Diploma in Children's Services/Early Childhood and Care
- First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
- Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management
- Demonstrated experience within early childhood education and knowledge of childhood learning and developmental health
- Understanding of compliance and regulatory factors that govern the delivery of early childhood services
- Safe Food Handling Certificate (desirable)
