About the role:
Multiple casual opportunities to join our Biosecurity, Education & Community Services team as Lecturer- Community Services! These positions will commence in February 2026.
What you'll do:
- Deliver engaging and innovative teaching across subjects such as;
- Cultural safety with a strong Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander focus
- Develop an extensive knowledge related to broad and specific areas of Community Services
- Learn to understand applicable legislation and regulation
- Child Protection
- Disability Supports and Services
- Health and Wellbeing
- Rehabilitation and Incarceration
- Case Management
- Create and implement high-quality course materials that meet regulatory and compliance standards, tailored to diverse learning styles.
- Assess student work consistently and provide constructive feedback to support academic progression.
- Identify and support students at risk, implementing early intervention strategies and referring to appropriate support services.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, fostering student success and wellbeing.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through active participation in team meetings and adherence to institutional policies and procedures.
About you:

- A minimum of an AQF 9 qualification, specialising in Community Services industry or related fields such as Social Work, Social Sciences, Human Services, Psychology, Youth Work etc.
- Experience teaching in the Australian Higher Education sector.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (e.g., StudentWeb) and online teaching tools (e.g., MS Teams, Zoom).
- Ability to develop compliant course documentation and use student management systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to cultural awareness and inclusivity.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment.
- Have, or be willing to obtain, Victorian Working with Children Check and National Police Check clearance
