About the role
It is an exciting time to coming on board at BAC, with unprecedented infrastructure development planned over the next decade. This role is responsible for leading a team that delivers a portfolio of projects up to the value of $100 million.
Key deliverables associated with this role include, team leadership, on time performance, commercial negotiations, relationship management, cost control and compliance with the project governance framework.
Key responsibilities
- Set the direction for and lead the team, ensuring members are engaged and empowered.
- Ensure there is a high-performance team culture and model these behaviours for the team.
- Co-ordinate the delivery of multidisciplinary infrastructure projects through sound program management practices. Maintain a focus on stakeholder engagement, cost, program, risk and opportunity and WH&S management across the portfolio.
- Manage the team on a day-to day basis to deliver the projects as per BAC’s business requirements as outlined in the approved project briefs and project plans.
- Working closely with the PMO ensure a high level of compliance with the Project Management Framework and create an environment of continual improvement and efficiency seeking.
- Prepare and/or review Executive papers, Board papers and PCG reports and other presentations as required.
Experience and qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive experience in the management of projects, including experience in program management and/or project director roles.
- Experience in delivering projects within a framework that is complex in terms of both operational environment and stakeholder relationships.
- Extensive experience in the preparation and administering of design and construction contracts.
About you
Experienced in the delivery of complex high value infrastructure projects you will be equally adept with managing critical stakeholder relationships as you are commercial negotiations. A leader of people, you are comfortable and experienced with presenting at Executive level.
