About the role
In this impactful and rewarding role, you will be responsible for supporting the broader community relations and engagement strategy for Brisbane Airport Corporation. You will effectively do this through stakeholder management, delivering opportunities for meaningful community engagement and providing administration support to our wonderful Public Affairs division.
This role subsequently supports BAC’s overarching objectives for reputation; project delivery; and stakeholder support, reporting to our Head of Public Affairs and supports our Community Engagement Manager on day-to-day duties.
This amazing role is a permanent full-time position, based at our Skygate Head Office.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include
- Manage BAC’s feedback processes by ensuring considered, timely and accurate responses to customers and members of the community.
- Accurate handling of communication, record management and the associated reporting activities to management. This includes feedback received through email, website, and telephone.
- The position works closely with the Social Media team to ensure message consistency and the escalation of trending customer feedback and concerns.
- Participate and provide advice to all parts of the business to ensure a consistent all-of-company approach to feedback reporting.
- This role supports the Community Engagement Manager to identify and manage emerging community driven issues.
- Coordinate the Mobile Education Display Unit (MEDU) presence and attendance at community locations. This includes, but is not limited to, community communications materials, venue logistics, monitoring of community feedback and liaising with the vehicle delivery driver.
- Deliver community engagement initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to, guided tours, presentations, school events, community clubs, industry groups and the like.
Experience and qualifications
Essential
- Previous experience in a customer experience or complaints handling role.
Preferred
- Formal qualifications in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or related area.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premier.
- Working knowledge of Consultation Manager.
