With offices across Australia, Built has a track record of delivering complex, high-profile projects and fostering a culture where people genuinely enjoy coming to work.

Our Canberra team continues to grow, with a strong pipeline of work across commercial, defence, government and institutional projects.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Site Engineer to join our ACT team. Working closely with experienced Project Managers and Engineers, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of projects from early works through to completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to strengthen their technical capability while gaining exposure to high-quality projects within a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate site activities to ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to specification
  • Assist with project programming, sequencing and short-term planning
  • Manage subcontractor coordination, including progress tracking and quality assurance
  • Prepare and review RFIs, shop drawings, and technical documentation
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and standards
  • Support procurement activities and monitor materials and site logistics
  • Assist with cost tracking, progress reporting and project documentation
  • Work closely with the wider project team to identify and resolve site issues proactively

About You

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar
  • 1–3 years’ experience within commercial construction (builder or contractor environment preferred)
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies and site processes
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management capability
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
  • A genuine interest in building a long-term career in construction

Why Built

  • Work on diverse, high-quality projects across the ACT region
  • Be part of a supportive, high-performing team with strong mentoring
  • Clear career progression pathways into Project Engineering and beyond
  • Competitive remuneration and employee benefits
  • A culture that values collaboration, ownership and continuous improvement
