As our business evolves technologies and services there is an increasing need for the Finance team to partner with the business to assist in achieving successful commercial outcomes. As a trusted advisor, this role frees up road blocks in finance processes to assist the business achieve their deliverables. Utilising subject matter expertise, this position is also a go-to for leaders in designated client groups to deliver management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, service costing and pricing as well as standard financial modelling.
The opportunity:
The Finance Business Partner team works closely and collaboratively with the broader Finance team as well as the People Business Partners to bring value-add outputs to business customers. This is a true partnering role responsible for the four key disciplines of the business partnering model within a designated client group. More broadly this role aids the implementation of the Finance strategy within and in conjunction with a designated client group while also adapting to ensure the business is supported to achieve their own strategic goals.
Day to day you'll be expected to:
- Regularly engage with designated business leaders to proactively respond to their finance needs and provide value-adding insights
- Provide specialist advice and guidance to business customers on commercial finance issues
- Within the parameters of relevant policies, assist to free up road blocks in finance processes to assist the business in achieving its deliverables
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Finance & Business Services team
To be a success in this role you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in finance or business
- CPA or CA essential
- Proven stakeholder management skills, ideally in a business partnering model
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with an ability to assist business units in maximising return on investment
