The Vendor Manager role is accountable for building, managing and enhancing partnerships with strategic vendors and internal stakeholders to optimise value, mitigate and manage risks and deliver a high level of performance. You will be responsible for representing Cenitex to our strategic vendors and be an advocate for the vendor, ensuring services align with business requirements and internal Contract Management and Procurement policies.

What you'll be involved in:

  • Create strategic partnerships with vendors that enables strong communication, innovation and optimises the value proposition to Cenitex
  • Manage and measure performance of the overall relationship between internal customers and strategic vendors ensuring compliance to contractual obligations
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to establish, prioritise and track strategic direction to be communicated with vendors.
  • Remain up to date with vendor service offerings and product roadmaps to ensure Cenitex are aware and have opportunities to take advantage of new services
  • Identify opportunities that significantly reduce operational and capital expenditure
  • Be an escalation point for underperforming vendors and establish service improvement initiatives
  • Support the Senior Vendor Manager in the creation of a vendor engagement framework that drives maximum benefit from contracts, including but not limited to technology funds, training credits and innovation funds

To be a success in this role you need to have:

  • Experience in Contract negotiation, administration and management
  • Experience in performance management of vendors in a technology function
  • Extensive technical knowledge and operational experience, as well as demonstrated experience working in similar roles within complex technology environments.
  • A strong understanding of Modern Workplace Management, on premise and cloud hosted infrastructure
  • A strong understanding of ITIL Service management and project management methodologies
  • Strong understanding and preferred experience in the use of ServiceNow ITSM modules
  • Strong track record leading and implementing initiatives that deliver improved customer experience and increased value
  • Ability to deliver strategic outcomes
  • Ability to work with peers to achieve goals and deliver quality outcomes for our customers.
