WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Specifically, you will:

Lead the day-to-day delivery of transport services, ensuring customer requirements, operational priorities and service expectations are understood and achieved
Coordinate freight planning, scheduling, dispatch and receiving requirements, aligning transport capacity with forecasts, orders and delivery priorities
Drive compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), transport legislation, customer requirements and CEVA safety standards, policies and procedures
Lead, coach and support the site-based team, setting clear expectations, monitoring performance and ensuring employees are appropriately trained and competent
Monitor safety, service, productivity and cost performance against agreed KPIs, identifying trends, risks and opportunities for improvement
Proactively resolve capacity constraints, delays and service issues, escalating matters where broader operational support is required
Coordinate subcontractor carriers and drivers in partnership with Ground & Rail and Procurement teams, addressing capacity, safety, compliance and performance requirements
Build strong relationships across the customer, Contract Logistics, Customer Service and wider Ground & Rail teams to support effective communication and service delivery

Strong analytical, problem-solving and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing operational priorities
Effective communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills across customers, operational teams and service providers
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel; exposure to transport management systems and subcontractor carrier management will be advantageous
