Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced Functional Analyst to lead the functional design and support the implementation of a Rostering, Time, and Attendance solution across a large, complex public sector program.

This role will play a key part in delivering a workforce management capability using TotalMobile’s Global Rostering System (GRS). Experience with other leading rostering or workforce management platforms is highly regarded.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and technology partners to design, influence, configure and implement rostering solutions aligned to complex, operationally critical environments.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Engage with senior stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document functional requirements for the rostering, time, and attendance solution
  

• Lead end-to-end functional solution design and support definition of target-state processes
  

• Translate business requirements into system configurations and functional specifications within the GRS platform, contributing to key design decisions.
  

• Configure rostering and workforce management solutions in line with operational requirements, industrial rules, and compliance constraints
  

• Facilitate workshops with business and operational teams to validate requirements and design solutions
  

• Perform gap analysis and support process design and optimisation, including navigating complex and ambiguous requirements.
  

• Collaborate with technical teams and vendors to support integration and end-to-end solution delivery
  

• Develop test scenarios, support system and user acceptance testing (UAT), and validate outcomes
  

• Contribute to change management, training, and business readiness activities
  

• Provide functional support during implementation, rollout, and early life support phases

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Proven experience as a Rostering Functional Analyst on enterprise IT implementation programs, with the ability to operate as a trusted advisor.
  

• Hands-on experience configuring rostering or workforce management systems (e.g. UKG/Kronos, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar)
  

• Strong understanding of rostering and workforce planning practices, including:
  

• Shift scheduling and optimisation
  

• Award interpretation and compliance
  

• Fatigue management principles
  

• Leave and availability management
  

• Experience working on large-scale, complex transformation programs
  

• Demonstrated ability to lead workshops and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
  

• Strong analytical thinking, documentation, and problem-solving capability
  

• Experience supporting testing (SIT/UAT), configuration, and deployment
  

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
