Power Up Your Career

Who we are

CleanCo is a low-emission energy retailer, generator and developer backed by the Queensland Government. We are powering Queensland’s transition to a net zero future through our renewable and firming portfolio.

Our diverse and capable team works together to deliver reliable energy solutions for communities and industry across Queensland.

We are recognised as Employer of Choice by Work180. We welcome applications from women, neurodivergent individuals, people with disability, First Nations people, LGBTQIA+ individuals and those from culturally diverse backgrounds. Adjustments to the recruitment process are available on request.

What you'll contribute to

As the Employee Relations Partner, you will provide practical advice to leaders and employees. You will help resolve workplace matters early, fairly and consistently.

In this role you will:

  • Manage a moderate caseload of employee matters, including grievances, disputes, performance management and disciplinary processes.
  • Advise leaders on policies, enterprise agreements, legislation and workplace decisions.
  • Improve policies, tools and guidance that make people processes clearer and more consistent.
  • Support enterprise bargaining through research, drafting and stakeholder coordination.
  • Build constructive relationships with stakeholders including leaders, employees, unions and P&C colleagues.
  • Identify emerging risks, escalate when needed and maintain accurate, confidential records.
  • Your work will keep day-to-day operations moving while building leader capability. You will support fair outcomes across office and site-based teams.

This role is a six-month maximum-term position based in Brisbane. Hybrid work is available, with occasional day travel across our generation sites. We are open to considering flexible arrangements, including a nine-day or eight-day fortnight, may be agreed.

On your first day we expect you to have:

  • Demonstrated practical ER/IR experience in a complex workplace.
  • Experience managing employee cases from initial assessment through to resolution.
  • Experience advising leaders and working within a unionised workforce.
  • Previous experience appearing in the Industrial Relations or Fair Work Commission would be advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of employment law, enterprise agreements and workplace regulations.
  • Ability to write clear advice, correspondence and policy content in accessible formats.
  • A relevant bachelor qualification in law, human resources, business or a related discipline.

What you will find here:

  • The opportunity to contribute to Queensland’s clean energy future and see the real-world impact of your work
  • A supportive environment that embraces change and encourages continuous learning
  • Space to take ownership, backed by trust and accountability
  • Open, respectful communication where diverse perspectives are valued
  • A collaborative culture focused on shared success and meaningful outcomes

What we offer you

At CleanCo, you don’t just contribute to Queensland’s energy future - you’re supported to power your own. Our benefits support balance, wellbeing and career development at every stage of life, including:

  • Genuine flexible work options via our hybrid working model.
  • A progressive and inclusive culture where people feel safe, connected and seen.
  • Option to purchase additional leave.
  • Discounted health insurance, Fitness Passport, and health programs.
  • Salary sacrificing options.
  • Wellbeing support through various support groups such as Mates in Energy.

What happens next?

We'd love to hear from you sooner rather than later. Applications close on 17 November 2026, but we sometimes find our person before then. Our Talent team reviews every application and if we think you could be a great fit, we'll be in touch for a friendly chat. If things click, we'll move you through to interviews from there!

Even if we are not currently advertising the position that you are looking for today, we may be tomorrow. Keep up-to-date with new opportunities as they happen by following us on LinkedIn or registering for our Talent Community via our careers page.
