About the Opportunity

Due to an internal promotion, we have an opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the team in our Brisbane office. This is a senior technical leadership role, reporting to the Lead Electrical and Controls Engineer.

You’ll provide strategic guidance and technical expertise across CleanCo’s asset portfolio, ensuring consistency in engineering standards, maintenance, root cause analysis, testing and commissioning processes.

You’ll work across all of CleanCo’s QLD based sites, collaborating with site engineers, major projects teams, and operational leaders to solve complex challenges such as plant investigations, electrical safety, and asset lifecycle planning.

This is a permanent role that offers a mix of office-based work, site and working from home.

About you

  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) with a tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a Chartered Member of Engineers Australia with the ability to rapidly attain RPEQ – essential
  • Demonstrated senior electrical engineering experience, including relevant experience as an RPEQ or Chartered Engineer with Engineers Australia
  • Strong operational site experience, ideally in power generation or heavy industry (e.g. mining, manufacturing, oil & gas, processing)
  • Proven experience working across multiple sites, driving consistency in engineering standards, maintenance, testing and commissioning practices
  • Deep technical capability across:
    • High and low voltage electrical systems
    • Electrical protection systems and plant investigations
    • Power distribution and transformers
    • Arc flash safety management and electrical safety
  • Experienced in reviewing, developing, auditing and implementing equipment strategies, Asset Management Strategies and Lifecycle Plans.
  • An applied understanding of the National Electricity Rules is highly desirable.
  • Comfortable leading complex investigations including production, operations and HSE incidents.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence site engineers, operations leaders, major projects teams and trading stakeholders.
  • Thrives in roles combining technical leadership, operational problem-solving and strategic asset planning.
  • You have a passion to be part of something bigger than yourself, that contributes to the delivery of a clean energy future crafted in Queensland.
