About Terra Verde:

Terra Verde is a joint venture between Webuild, GS Engineering & Construction (E&C) Australia, and Bouygues Construction Australia.

The joint venture combines experienced local personnel with global resources and expertise.

Terra Verde is delivering nearly 10 kilometres of parallel tunnels between Glen Waverley and Box Hill, including 39 cross passages and two station boxes at Glen Waverley and Burwood in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, as part of the Suburban Rail Loop Project.

This is the largest infrastructure project in Victoria’s history, shaping Melbourne and Victoria for future generations.

About the opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced People and Culture Advisor to join the Terra Verde People & Culture team.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will provide operational and strategic HR support across designated project precincts, partnering with leaders to deliver effective people solutions that support project performance and foster a high-performing team culture.

This is a true generalist role, offering exposure across employee relations, workforce planning, leadership support, learning and development, talent management, organisational development, and project-based HR initiatives. You will play a key role in driving people outcomes, supporting leaders through complex people matters, and implementing initiatives that enhance employee experience and organisational effectiveness.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of Australia's most significant infrastructure projects while working alongside industry-leading professionals in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with operational leaders to provide expert advice and guidance across all people management matters
  • Support the delivery of HR initiatives that drive organisational performance, employee engagement, and project success
  • Provide advice and support across employee relations, industrial relations, performance management, employee development, and workforce planning activities
  • Lead and support HR projects, including researching, designing, implementing, and evaluating people initiatives
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and frameworks
  • Support onboarding and induction activities to ensure a positive employee experience
  • Identify capability gaps and partner with leaders to support training and development initiatives
  • Monitor HR compliance requirements and recommend improvements to minimise risk and enhance operational effectiveness
  • Analyse and report on people data, trends, and workforce metrics to support decision-making
  • Facilitate workshops, presentations, and stakeholder engagement activities across the project
  • Support diversity, inclusion, and social procurement initiatives that contribute to a positive workplace culture
  • Mentor and support junior HR team members to build capability and deliver high-quality outcomes

Key Requirements:

  • Degree qualification in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Relations, Psychology, Law, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in a Senior HR Advisor, HR Business Partner, or similar role within a complex operational environment
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, HR best practice, and people management frameworks
  • Experience managing employee relations matters and providing practical advice to leaders
  • Experience leading HR projects, initiatives, or organisational improvement programs
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships at all levels
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to analyse workforce data and translate insights into practical solutions
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior HR professionals
  • Previous experience within construction, infrastructure, engineering, resources, or other project-based environments will be highly regarded

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of Victoria's largest infrastructure project
  • Work alongside industry-leading professionals across a complex major project environment
  • Opportunity to influence workforce strategy, culture, and people outcomes
  • Exposure to diverse HR disciplines and large-scale workforce challenges
  • Career development opportunities across a major project lifecycle
  • A culture that values safety, collaboration, inclusion, and innovation
  • Contribute to a project that will leave a lasting legacy for future generations

At Terra Verde, we are committed to fostering innovation, collaboration, and professional growth. By joining our team as a People and Culture Advisor, you will contribute to one of Australia's most transformative infrastructure projects while developing your expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Terra Verde is an equal opportunity employer, and we encourage applications from diverse backgrounds. Women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, Priority Jobseekers and people with a multicultural background are strongly encouraged to apply.

Join the project that is creating a lasting legacy on Victoria’s infrastructure!
