Who we are
We are a pioneering engineering and construction company established in 1919 in Perth, Western Australia.
We are passionate and diverse. We are leaders and creators. We play a critical role in creating sustainable solutions and high performing assets for the infrastructure, resources and energy industries, to deliver a better future today.
We strive to be the most respected engineering and construction company in the world. Whether you’re an executive, a graduate, an apprentice or a parent returning to the workforce, we have opportunities to suit your skills and experience, across our various locations and projects around the world.
We are pioneers. From finance to engineering, HSSE to construction, procurement to human resources, we are part of a proud 100 year tradition of delivering project that connect us. We are Clough.
Diversity & Inclusion
We want to ensure that the engineering and construction industry is an inclusive environment that accepts every person, embraces their strengths and their differences, and provides opportunities for everyone to achieve their full potential.
We believe diversity brings broader knowledge, perspectives, ideas and experiences to our business, which is invaluable to us and our clients. Our workforce consists of people from a wide range of cultures, backgrounds and skills. This diversity is what makes Clough a great place to work.
Employer of Choice for Gender Equality
As part of our ongoing journey to remain an employer of choice, we are committed to maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we work and live.
With this commitment, Clough will foster an environment where people are able to bring their true self to work and achieve their full potential.
In 2019, we were granted the Employer of Choice for Gender Equality (EOCGE) citation by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) that we maintain today. Only a few organisations met the high standards and rigorous assessment process for the citation, with just a small number in the engineering and construction industry and we are proud to be one of them.
Our Reconciliation Action Plan
Since we received the endorsement from Reconciliation Australia in February 2020, we’ve seen our business grow on its commitment to deliver on our vision for Reconciliation.
In our first Innovate RAP, we set up our vision to improve outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples by providing employment, education and business opportunities and to create a workplace that understands and values Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. This vision guided us to create a framework to better understand and reflect on what reconciliation means to each member of the team and how we as a business can make a positive impact and enrich the lives of those in the communities in which we work and live.
Life at Clough
Our people enjoy competitive remuneration and benefits packages, ongoing professional growth, reward and recognition programs that celebrate performance, and a flexible work environment to manage work, family and lifestyle commitments.
Flexible work environment
We are committed to providing and maintaining a flexible work environment that enables all employees to manage their work, family and lifestyle commitments. Flexibility means different things to different people, so we deliver a range of options including compressed work weeks, job-sharing, remote work, flexible working hours and flexibility for specific periods. Offering this flexibility has been career-changing for many of our team members and is transforming the way we do business.
In addition, we offer carers leave, study leave, domestic violence leave and support, and competitive parental leave entitlements.
We recently introduced new parental leave entitlements as part of our commitment to building a culture that is inclusive and reflects equality. The entitlements include: secondary caregiver leave for three weeks, no eligibility period to qualify for parental leave, leave for stillbirth and surrogacy, and superannuation payments on the unpaid portion of leave for up to 36 weeks.
Learning and Development
We have a deep history of innovation; we invest in both ideas and people, and we are always challenging our way of thinking. We are committed to providing our employees with internal and external programs to support strategic, leadership, professional and personal development. Clough employees have access to a range of development opportunities such as:
• Student scholarships
• Graduate program
• Mentoring program
• Intern program
• Study assistance
