We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager – Electrical to lead the safe and efficient delivery of electrical and instrumentation (E&I) construction scopes across a portfolio of energy, infrastructure, and industrial projects.
This role is responsible for executing construction activities on small to medium-scale projects, leading site teams and ensuring delivery in line with project plans, safety standards, schedule, and budget requirements. You’ll play a key role in coordinating site operations, managing stakeholders, and driving performance across all construction disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of electrical and instrumentation construction works on-site
- Manage Superintendents, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary construction teams
- Deliver projects in line with approved construction plans, schedules, and budgets
- Ensure compliance with HSSE, quality, and regulatory requirements at all times
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, project controls, and support functions
- Monitor cost, schedule, productivity, and progress, addressing risks and deviations
- Manage scope changes, ensuring variations are documented and approved
- Maintain strong client relationships and act as a key site interface
- Oversee resource planning, including labour, equipment, and materials
- Provide accurate reporting to project and senior management
- Support tendering activities with constructability input and estimate reviews
- Foster a high-performing, safety-focused team culture on-site
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager, Electrical Superintendent, or similar role
- Strong background across construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects
- Demonstrated experience delivering electrical and instrumentation works on-site
- Skilled in managing construction teams, subcontractors, and site operations
- Strong understanding of project execution, commercial drivers, and contract requirements
- Ability to manage competing priorities across safety, cost, schedule, and quality
- Effective communicator with strong stakeholder and client engagement skills
- Proactive problem-solver with a focus on continuous improvement
Requirements:
- Trade or diploma qualification in an electrical discipline (mandatory)
- Engineering degree (desirable)
- Valid Construction White/Blue Card and Australian driver’s licence
- 10+ years’ construction experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of Australian safety standards and site-based execution
