About the Project:

Parklife Metro JV is leading the delivery of the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport project, a landmark transport initiative that will link St Marys to Bradfield and seamlessly connect with the new Western Sydney Airport.

This visionary project driven by a joint venture between Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild includes the construction of six new stations, 12 state-of-the-art metro trains, advanced rail systems, and a modern stabling and maintenance facility at Orchard Hills.

As the largest public-private partnership (PPP) ever awarded in New South Wales, this $5 billion project is set to redefine the future of Greater Western Sydney by enhancing connectivity and driving economic growth. The Opportunity:

Employed by Webuild, Parklife Metro is seeking a Contract Administrator to join our team based at Orchard Hills, Badgerys Creek or Bradfield.

As Contract Administrator, you will support the commercial and contractual management of construction activities, working closely with the Project, Construction, Engineering, Procurement and Commercial teams to ensure contractual obligations are effectively managed and project outcomes are achieved.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Administer subcontract and commercial activities in accordance with project requirements and contractual obligations
  • Support the preparation, review and management of subcontract agreements, scopes of work, purchase orders and related documentation
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, progress and compliance against contractual requirements
  • Assist with the preparation and assessment of progress claims, variations, extensions of time and other contractual notices
  • Maintain accurate records of contractual correspondence, notices, claims, variations and commercial documentation
  • Review subcontractor claims and supporting documentation and work with the project team to resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with the identification, assessment and management of commercial and contractual risks
  • Work closely with Site Managers, Project Engineers, Construction Managers and other project stakeholders to ensure commercial matters are addressed in a timely manner
  • Assist with the management and close-out of variations, claims, disputes and other commercial matters
  • Support the preparation of monthly commercial reports, forecasts and cost-to-complete information
  • Support the Commercial Manager and broader Commercial team with ad hoc commercial and contractual activities


Criteria
:

  • Previous experience in a Contract Administrator or similar commercial role within construction or major infrastructure projects
  • Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Commerce, Business or a related discipline
  • Experience administering construction or subcontract agreements
  • Understanding of subcontractor claims, variations, extensions of time and contractual correspondence
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced project environment
