The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.

Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.

Future Generation Joint Venture on behalf of SC Hydro Pty Ltd is currently recruiting for Multiple Positions for our Tunnel Boring Machines on the Snowy 2.0 Project in the Snowy Monaro region. The project is working a 14:7 roster, 12 hour shifts which may include days/nights rotating.

We are currently seeking:

  • TBM Operators with Herrenknecht TBM and erector experience.
  • Ring Builders
  • Experienced Tunnel workers familiar with Grouting and Drill operations
  • MSV Operators
  • Tunnel workers experienced in the use of specialised plant
  • Yardmen
  • Labourers
  • Mechanical Tradesmen
  • Electrical Tradesmen

The successful candidate will:

  • Carry out work in and associated with underground tunnel excavation
  • Operate a range of equipment for tunnelling operations, such as EWP’s, chain blocks, grout pumps & mixers, gantry cranes and others
  • Assist as required with work associated with specialist plant operations, Segment delivery equipment (MSV’s), Gantry crane operations, Conveyor operations and Grouting line / pump installation
  • Responsible for identifying any and all safety hazards and notifying the appropriate persons accordingly
  • Ability to perform daily safety and maintenance checks
  • Required to familiarize themselves with the approved emergency procedures, contingency plans, communication procedures and rescue plans

You must currently hold the following tickets/licences:

  • Drivers licence – HR licence advantageous
  • RII qualifications.
  • High risk work licence – Forklift, EWP, DG
  • Working at Heights
  • Confined Space
  • General Construction Induction training (white card)
  • Right to work in Australia
  • Be able to pass medical and a criminal history check

The employment relationship will be governed by Australia or New Zealand Employment Law.

These positions are in remote challenging areas with extreme cold temperatures which need to be considered before applying for these roles.
