Clough is currently searching for an experienced Process Safety Engineer to join the Waitsia Gas Project during the commissioning phase. Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, this role will be predominantly based in the Perth office with some site travel, as required.

Your focus will include:

  • Process safety reviews & development of recommendations for addressing process Safety issues.

  • Providing risk assessments using best practice risk analysis techniques and tools.

  • Maintaining and applying knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes.

  • Coordination of worker training in areas such as safety legislation and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.

  • Providing oversight and conducting audits for Pre Start-up Safety Reviews (PSSR).

  • Recommending process and product safety features that will reduce employees' exposure to work hazards.

  • Compiling, analysing, and interpreting statistical data related to occupational illnesses and accidents.

  • Reviewing employee safety programs to determine their suitability.

  • Providing coaching to Operations on identification and resolution of process safety issues.


What you will bring to the team:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Health, Safety and Environment.

  • Extensive experience (10 years+) in a similar Chemical Process Safety Engineering role on large oil & gas or minerals processing projects.

  • High-level of communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong computer literacy.
