We are now seeking a SITE ENGINEER - PIPELINES for the Waitsia Gas Project responsible for delivering the day-to-day site support as required by the project. This involves ensuring subcontractor work front availability, subcontractor interface, site technical resolutions, ensuring diligent execution of subcontractor variations works, daily verification of labour and equipment usage and general support for the Senior Project Engineer.

THE PROJECT

The Waitsia Gas Project is ranked one of the largest gas fields ever discovered onshore in Australia and Stage 2 involves further development of the gas field with new wells and a new production facility. Clough is currently undertaking the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) scope of the development, near Dongara, Western Australia.

THE JOB FOCUS

  • Support and site manage execution of the pipeline Scope of Work

  • Monitor and report on work progress including identifying any gaps or issues requiring further scope of work

  • Ensure completions activities performed by the subcontractor are reflected in Clough’s CCMS system, alignment of ITR documentation between Clough and Subcontractor

  • Ensure subcontractor progressively completes ITPs for works performed

  • Weekly engagement with Subcontractor Planner to review work schedule in joint attendance with the Clough Senior Project Engineer & Planner

  • Field inspections of work performed, material availability and constructability issues as they arise

  • Support hydrotest and pneumatic testing conducted by the Subcontractor and review of test packs prior to and throughout, testing works

  • Conduct punch list walk downs of completed pipeline scopes, administration of punch list items into CCMS and expedite punch list close out by the Subcontractor

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

  • Will have site experience on a project construction site and be keen and motivated to be actively working out in field (essential)

  • A Min. 3yrs relevant Post Graduate Engineering experience in an Engineering/Construction environment

  • Proven experience in Project Engineering and providing Engineering technical support

  • Some knowledge/experience in piping or pipeline site construction and civil construction techniques

  • Construction White/Blue Card

  • Current C Class Drivers Licence

  • Able to identify and manage project risk & able to work unsupervised to achieve results

  • Good written and oral communication, attention to detail, team player and lead by example
