Clough, as part of the Integrate Alliance, is delivering the engineering, procurement and construction for the upgrade of the Woodman Point Sludge Treatment Facilities, a significant sustainable infrastructure project for the Perth community, reducing waste and emissions.

We are currently searching for a Senior Buyer/Expeditor to join the Woodman Point Project Team in Perth. Reporting to the Project Services Manager, you will utilise your extensive knowledge of the local and global supply market to manage the procurement, delivery & close out process for assigned major and intermediate level equipment packages in accordance with the project timelines.

The role will be initially based in the Perth Head Office and will transition to site (Perth southern suburbs) in 2024 as construction activities commence.

Your focus will include:

  • Managing the procurement, delivery & close out process for assigned major and intermediate level equipment packages.

  • Interfacing with Engineering Leads for the timely issue of Scopes of work and associated documents for assigned RFQ packages.

  • Managing and responding to qualifications to Terms & Conditions of Purchase while elevating to SCM/Project Procurement Manager where required.

  • Developing ‘Special Conditions of Purchase’ document reflecting all agreed qualifications to the project Terms and Conditions of Purchase for each package for attachment to P.O

  • Interfacing with Engineering regarding the preparation and issue of Technical Bid Evaluations, and ‘Approved for Purchase’ scopes of work and associated technical documents.

  • Prepares and issues RFA. and tracks approval process

  • Produces and manages Purchase Orders and Expediting data via SPMAT.

  • Supervises and support other lower-level project SCM personnel as required.


What you will bring to the team:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role in either Resources, Infrastructure, Power or Marine industries.

  • Previous experience with vendor management and engagement.

  • Documented experience in managing procurement of major equipment packages for large construction projects

  • Experience in expediting high value equipment packages and associated documentation from award through to final delivery.

  • Knowledge and understanding of materials management systems and processes and practical experience of maintaining purchasing /expediting data in materials management systems.

  • Be commercially astute with a reasonable understanding of commercial terms and conditions and associated commercial risk.
