Clough has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join our team in Perth to work on the Waitsia Gas Project! In this role, you will deliver technically acceptable engineering design and construction services for approved work to ensure we manage client satisfaction and Clough’s business needs.

The Waitsia Stage 2 project includes a new 250 TJ/day gas processing plant with a 20-year life cycle that will convey gas via the nearby Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline.

Your focus will include:

  • Work with technical specialists to ensure specification compliance, technical integrity of design (technical performance).

  • Prepare, check and file design information including documents and data from suppliers and other disciplines.

  • Contribute to the development, implementation and improvement of systems across the division.

  • Manage customer relations to achieve mutually satisfactory and technical program outcomes.

  • Manage and coordinate design and construction effort of team reports to achieve satisfactory outcomes (project performance).

  • Provide construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning support to projects as required.

  • Brief team on scope of work, contractual matters, design organisation, project schedule and change control.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. BSc Eng).

  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng)

  • Membership of relevant Engineering Institutions (e.g. Engineers Australia) – preferred

  • Good knowledge of local and international Codes and Standards.

  • Relevant experience is defined as experience with engineering contracting or consultancy organisations in one or more of the following sectors – Oil & Gas, Mining & Minerals and Infrastructure / Utilities.

  • Be a proactive member of the team, prepared to work outside conventional boundaries in cooperation with other team members to ensure complete coverage of each work scope.
