We are now seeking a SENIOR MECHANICAL/PIPING ENGINEER to work alongside the Compressor Package Engineer. This position is Perth office based however there may also be the flexibility to go to site, either on an ad hoc basis or potentially on a rotational roster. This is a permanent position where you will be contributing to our rapidly developing pipeline of work scopes including FEED, ECI and detailed engineering of projects including power plants, clean energy projects, water and infrastructure and the ongoing support of brownfield and asset maintenance contract with Tier 1 clients.

THE PROJECT

The Waitsia Gas Project is ranked one of the largest gas fields ever discovered onshore in Australia and Stage 2 involves further development of the gas field with new wells and a new production facility. Clough is currently undertaking the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) scope of the development, near Dongara, Western Australia.

THE JOB FOCUS

  • Review, update and closeout engineering design documentation

  • Assist in identifying, collating and raising material requisition through to delivery on site

  • Attending to queries from site engineering team, especially for packages under their responsibility

  • Review and approval of vendor deliverables, including attending of progress meetings with vendors

  • Updating of engineering deliverables, including updating and raising material requisitions

  • Interfacing and liaising with other engineering disciplines and other project functions

  • Reporting any issues, concerns and/or progress to discipline lead engineer and engineering manager

  • Responding to client queries

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

  • Ideally 8-10yrs relevant experience in O&G, Mining & Minerals and/or Infrastructure/Utilities however consideration will be given to less experience with a high level of design work

  • Good knowledge of local and international Codes and Standards

  • Relevant tertiary Engineering Degree qualifications

  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPENG) preferred

  • Membership of relevant Engineering institutions (eg Engineers Aust) preferred

  • Construction White/Blue Card - essential

  • Current C Class Drivers Licence

  • Able to foster a culture of teamwork within the discipline and wider organisation

  • Ability to brief team on SOW, contractual matters, design organisation, project schedule and change control

  • Able to remain calm under pressure and to lead by example

  • Excellent communication skills to liaise at all levels and while interfacing with key stakeholders
