About the role
Reporting into the Head of Group FP&A and Strategic Projects, this is a high-profile role with direct exposure to all the Finance GM’s and the CFO.
As the Finance Manager – Group Planning & Reporting, you’ll be responsible for monthly Executive and Board reporting, as well as consolidating the quarterly business review. In addition, the role will also:
- Develop and lead 3 direct reports in team
- Drive and own the production of divisional forecasts, outlooks, R&Os
- Drive and own independent forecast modelling and critique of business performance including scenario and desktop modelling, both proactive and at request of FD/Board
- Drive and own the production of divisional reporting for Exec Team and Board providing insights on drivers of business performance on a weekly and monthly basis
- Align business messaging and storytelling in both actuals reporting and outlook updates, align with Investor Relations outputs & reviews
- Drive reporting improvements to ensure fit for purpose and value-add including education of stakeholders to provide high quality inputs
About you and your skills
We are looking for someone who has experience in building and improving end to end planning processes, driving organisational change, and influencing key business partners.
You’ll be a highly motivated and driven individual with strong proven technical accounting, commercial problem solving and business partnering skills. You will have strong project management experience, experience in preparing and reviewing papers for executive board consumption and experience in a multi-business unit environment.
Varied finance background preferable, covering financial control, FP&A, commercial decision support in addition to the following skills and qualifications:
- CA / CPA (or similar) qualified with minimum 6+ years PQE
- Commercial awareness and business focus
- Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring and development skills
- Advanced time management and planning skills, ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment
- Advanced stakeholder management skills including influencing & negotiating
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced communication & presentation skills (verbal and written), ability to present complex data & concepts to enable decision making
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Proficiency with TM1 and other financial systems preferable
