About the role
The engine room of our business, our Central Operations team keeps us moving and delivering our services to all Australians. We empower and support our retail teams across the country, helping them deliver great experiences for our customers every single day.
In partnership with Ocado, Coles is bringing a high tech and highly anticipated automated Customer Fulfilment centre to New South Wales. This will greatly increase our ability to supply online customer and fulfill online orders. To assist with a successful launch, we are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to join our team.
What you’ll be doing
In partnership with our facilities management service provider, you will take ownership of end-to-end facility management, improving life cycle value for the new Customer Fulfilment Centre, in line with industry best practice.
You'll also
- take charge of all aspects of site asset management, including service and maintenance
- manage key business relationship with facilities management service provider ensuring key deliverables are met
- support the project teams through the commissioning phase of the site launce, tracking faults and remediating through processes
- be the link between a number of key stakeholders including Ocado and broader central operations and procurement teams
- manage the annual site facility budget, prioritising funds efficiently for required services
Good things you’ll need
We’re looking for a passionate facilities manager with a background in engineering and experience of managing multiple contracts in a complex environment.
you’ll also need
- excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience in handling contract delivery and partnerships
- technical experience of electrical engineering systems with a degree in an engineering related field
- passion for learning new ideas from contractors, consultants and competitors to ensure market leading systems and processes
- ability to communicate complex engineering terminology and concepts in a clear, consistent and understandable way
- experience managing budgets and understanding of financial metrics
